The founder of our company, Tuncay Sergen, was born in Kayseri.

After attending Kayseri İnönü Elementary School, Talas and Tarsus American Colleges, he studied at Robert College and Boğaziçi University, graduating from the Business Administration department and later obtaining a master's degree in Industrial Management.

He started his career in iron and steel trade in 1978 after a short period at Tekfen Holding. He served as the deputy general manager responsible for iron and steel trade at Çolakoğlu Metalurji A.Ş. from 1985 to 1991. He represented the Austrian company Voest Alpine Intertrading AG in Turkey from 1993 to 2015. He has also been the vice president of KAYDER for two terms.

He has served as the president of YISAD (Flat Steel Exporters and Industrialists Association) for three terms and is still a board member. He has worked in the industry committee of the Istanbul Chamber of Industry for a term and has taken on the role of vice president of the Steel Federation.

Sergen Metal Foreign Trade and Industry Ltd. Co. was founded in 1991. Its specialty is coated and especially painted sheets. The company was the first to import painted sheets to Turkey by ship in 1993, introducing painted sheets to the country.

In its factory in Dudullu OSB, it offers sales and steel service center services. It produces trapezoidal, sinusoidal corrugated sheets, ridges, and panel sheets, and performs protective film coating, slitting, and cut-to-length operations.

Other areas of activity in foreign trade include expertise in the import and export of pig iron, billets, rebar, wire rod, slabs, and sheets.

Tuncay Sergen speaks English, German, and some Russian. He is a member of YISAD, Fenerbahçe, Marmara Sailing, KAYDER, BÜMED, RC Bizimtepe Associations, and is interested in photography, agriculture, and development models.
